Dr. Ageliki Makri

Dr. Ageliki Makri is a clinical dietitian and researcher specialising in nutrigenomics, metabolomics, and the pathophysiology of stress. She holds a postgraduate degree in Metabolomics from the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Thessaly and a doctorate from the Medical School of the University of Athens, where her research focused on stress and the pathology of pregnancy.
In clinical practice since 1997, Dr Makri works with patients presenting with metabolic disorders, neuromusculoskeletal conditions, food sensitivities, and stress-related illness — applying a methodology that examines how nutrition supports or disrupts metabolic function at the individual level.
She is the founder of the NMTA Method, ‘Nutritional, Temperamental and Metabolic Analysis’, a proprietary framework for evaluating nutrition and metabolism that she applies in her clinic and teaches to practitioners. She has taught Holistic and Energy Nutrition and has led seminars and workshops on the pathophysiology of stress and its clinical management.
At the Academy of Humanopathy, Dr Makri teaches Integrative Nutrition, bringing over two decades of clinical and research experience to the study of food, metabolism, and the whole person.
